- 601-700 units: ∼52-53 Rs per unit
- 700+ units: ∼54-55 Rs per unit
Note: Ye “Energy Charges” ke rates hain. 2025 me bijli mehngi hui hai to 2-3 Rs upar neeche ho sakte hain.

Bill check karna seekh gaye? Ab ye bhi parh lo: MEPCO bill online check karein bina login ke. Sirf unit x rate nahi hota bhai. Bill me 5 cheezen aur hoti hain:
- FPA – Fuel Price Adjustment: Har mahine alag. Kabhi 4 Rs/unit, kabhi 8 Rs/unit. Ye bijli banane ka kharcha hai.
- GST 18%: Total amount pe 18% tax lagta hai.
- PTV Fee 35 Rs: TV na ho tab bhi lagta hai. Law hai.
- Electricity Duty: Punjab govt ka tax. ∼1-2%
- Extra Tax/Further Tax: Commercial ya 1000+ unit walo pe lagta hai.
Isi liye 200 unit ka “rate” 33 Rs dikh raha, lekin bill 9500 aa raha. Tax mil ke rate 45-48 Rs/unit ban jata hai.

Farz karo aap non-protected ho aur 250 unit use kiye:
- Step 1: Slab wise hisaab
- 1-100 unit x 30 Rs = 3000 Rs
- 101-200 unit x 34 Rs = 3400 Rs
- 201-250 unit x 40 Rs = 2000 Rs
- Total Energy = 8400 Rs
- Step: FPA Add karo
Farz karo FPA 6 Rs/unit hai: 250 x 6 = 1500 Rs
Step 3: Subtotal = 8400 + 1500 = 9900 Rs
Step 4: Tax lagao
GST 18% = 9900 x 0.18 = 1782 Rs
PTV Fee = 35 Rs
Electricity Duty ∼150 Rs
Final Bill = 9900 + 1782 + 35 + 150 = ∼11867 Rs
Dekha? 250 unit x 30 Rs = 7500 nahi bana. 11867 ban gaya. Yehi logon ko samajh nahi aata.
“Protected” Status Wapis Kaise Mile Ga?
Agar 6 mahine tak 200 unit se kam use karo to MEPCO khud “P” likh de ga bill pe. Matlab “Protected”.
Phir 1-200 unit tak rate 18-19 Rs rahe ga. 300 unit wala bill 6500-7000 me nipat jaye ga.
Tip: Garmiyon me 1-2 mahine AC kam chalao, fan se kaam lo. 6 mahine baad “P” wapis mil jaye ga.
